15 Unbelievably Hideous Horror Movie Sequels

12. The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death

Sure, horror sequels always set off alarm bells, but given that this one had a genuinely good premise, it seemed this might actually break the mold. Alas, this is just as bad as most other studio horror sequels.

The most infuriating thing about this is how much potential it wastes; after all, it was the sequel to The Woman in Black, which is one of the decade's best British horror films and the rare jump scare-filled horror that was actually scary. In Angel of Death, the performances and cinematography are solid and the villain, the Woman in Black herself, is a brilliant one, but all these positive elements are squandered in a soulless, scare-free and painfully dull flick that'll send you to sleep.

The best advice is to watch the original and pretend this one doesn't even exist. Since it has little connection to the first film other than the villain, luckily that's easy to do.
