15 Unbelievably Hideous Horror Movie Sequels

11. Texas Chainsaw 3D

Saw V Strahm
Lions Gate

This is a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper's brilliant horror classic that ignores all the previous terrible sequels. Unfortunately, this was another dud and is somehow even worse than Hooper's own sequel, the hideous Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 from 1986.

Is Texas Chainsaw 3D the stupidest horror film ever made? It's certainly up there. It's difficult to think of another horror film with as many plot holes. For starters, the main character was born in 1974 and the film takes place in 2012.

She should be nearly 40, yet is played by an actress in her 20s. The film only gets dumber and dumber as it goes along. Its many gaffes and dumb character decisions might make you laugh at first, but after a while it's just irritating instead of funny.

It eventually leads to a monumentally idiotic ending that's likely one of the silliest in horror history. Meanwhile, it simply isn't scary, the characters are irritating, the dialogue is horrendous and it serves as a highly unsatisfying direct sequel to the original. Halloween (2018) this certainly ain't.
