12. Jeff Goldblum As The Grandmaster

The Film: Thor: Ragnarok

You know what you're getting with a Jeff Goldblum performance: it's usually just a different shade of his established screen persona - a cool-dork with improbable, irresistible charm and a quirky verve that usually makes him the most watchable element of any scene.

He also has a habit of grand-standing over other performers, simply because of who he is (and that's not really a criticism), even when he's playing supposedly restrained characters (he's reinvented the movie archetype of the scientist). So the opportunity to see him fully off the leash as the battle games loving Grand Master should be very exciting.

We can probably expect silliness as a bare minimum, and a healthy slice of that typical Goldblum charisma and for most people that's enough to make his part in Ragnarok beyond exciting.
