9. Josh Brolin As Cable

Despite the concern of some that actors shouldn't be allowed to work in two rival franchises at once (which is of course ludicrous), Josh Brolin will follow up his key role in Avengers: Infinity War with one of the most wanted roles in Sony's Marvel universe.

As fan favourite Cable, Brolin won't be able to rely on the heavy CGI requirement that will see his Thanos brought to life, and there's very much a sense that we'll see more of him in the performance. Given his previous issues with playing a comic book anti-hero in Jonah Hex, he's probably chomping at the bit to prove he's got it in him.

Cable always needed a strong actor, because of how much Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will inevitably dominate his scenes (particularly now he's already had one successful movie), and Brolin should be powerful enough to offer an anchor. And even if he doesn't quite manage it, it will be interesting to watch him try.
