The Pitch: A reboot, er, refueling, of the hit Jason Statham-starring action franchise, this time with young up-and-comer Ed Skrein playing mercenary Frank Martin, who speeds through the South of France in pursuit of a Russian kingpin. Why It Could Score 0%: For one, it's not just a Transporter movie without The Stath, but it's a Transporter movie that replaces him with a no-name actor whose breathy delivery seems like an ersatz attempt to imitate the action legend's screen presence. The plot sounds like utter derivative nonsense, the trailers already make it clear that the movie's action is going to be edited into an incomprehensible mess (which is no surprise given that it's directed by Brick Mansions' Camille Delamarre), the over-the-top set-pieces look more cringe-worthy than exciting, and it basically looks like something that shouldn't even have a theatrical release.
