15 Upcoming Films That Could Score 0% On RottenTomatoes

11. The Visit

The Pitch: M. Night Shyamalan takes a stab at the found footage genre in this tale of two siblings (Olivia De Jonge and Ed Oxenbould) who are left to stay with their grandparents and soon enough realise that something is very, very wrong. Why It Could Score 0%: Shyamalan's last three movies scored 17%, 6% and 11% respectively, and The Visit looks like it's set to be another catastrophic failure from the director. The trailers already made it clear that it's going to look cheap, feature poor acting, limp PG-13 scares and probably all lead to a wildly predictable plot twist (maybe the kids have been dead the entire time?), so it'd be easy for critics to nope out of this one in unison. This could very well be the final nail in Shyamalan's coffin, if he can't even make a success out of a $5 million found footage film (which is probably the easiest type of movie to print money from right now). But given how critic-proof horror films can be, it could still find success even in light of universally negative reviews. Release Date: September 11 (US & UK)
