3. 31 (2016)
A brand new film from Rob Zombie, 31 sees the director returning to explore how absolutely terrifying clowns are after scaring the hell out of everyone with House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects.
With 31, Zombie actually raised the money via crowdfunding, and it will be released sometime next year. The film takes place on Halloween 1975 when five carnival workers are held hostage in "Murder World." They're forced to participate in a game called 31, the only goal of which is to survive for 12 hours while being stalked by evil, killer clowns.
Although it was initially speculated that the movie might feature Captain Spaulding, Zombie has said that 31 will be a completely original story and unrelated to The Devil's Rejects. Rob Zombie is always worth keeping an eye on, and he's produced some of the most grisly and memorable horror films of this century. 31 sounds like a lot of dark fun, and it should be great to see Zombie return to evil clowns and give everyone nightmares all over again.
