15 Upcoming Horror Films You Should Be Excited About

He's back! A brand new Halloween movie is in the works, but what's exciting about this is that it isn't a followup to the two disappointing Rob Zombie reboots. No, this one is actually a direct continuation of the original franchise.

The new movie will take place in the present day, following the child of one of Michael Myers' original victims and the daughter of a cop who was obsessed with Myers. The two teens try to sneak in and see the execution of Michael Myers, but he escapes and begins terrorizing Haddonfield yet again.

And the new movie will actually feature the return of an original character: Deputy Gary Hunt from Halloween II. Sure it's not Jamie Lee Curtis, but it's still cool that they're tying this one back into the original movies instead of just rebooting it yet again.

The only major question is will Returns be ignoring any of the sequels? Will it acknowledge Halloween and Halloween II but not the other ones? That remains to be seen, but this sounds like a proper Halloween movie and a return to form after the remakes, so that alone is enough to get any Michael Myers fan amped up.
