Why It's Doomed: It's never a good sign when a modestly-budgeted comedy starring two household names went through reshoots almost 18 months after production wrapped, has been delayed numerous times over a year from its original release date, and was recently renamed from Bastards to the snoozily bland Father Figures.

This reeks of a film that's been testing badly and, after several attempts to whip it into shape with reshoots and alternate cuts, is basically being sent out to die the same week that Jumanji and Pitch Perfect 3 hit cinemas, not to mention a week after Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases.

Expect a box office flop and Rotten Tomatoes score in the 10-15% range. Bank on it.
