15 Weirdest Moments In Harry Potter Films

2. Dumbledore Chews Out Harry - The Goblet Of Fire

Dumbledore has always been the kindly, soft-spoken and well-meaning headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He's not the hollering, angry type, something that Goblet of Fire seems to have forgotten.

First of all, when Harry's name unexpectedly shoots out of the titular goblet, Dumbledore seems to lose it slightly, furiously screaming his name for him to appear. Then in the next scene, Dumbledore charges down the stairs towards Harry, practically interrogating him with the infamously memeable "Harry dijah put yah name in dah goblet of fiyah".

Michael Gambon goes full-on nutcase for the duration of the scene, totally out of character to the sweet, old mentor figure both the books and the films have depicted him as. Richard Harris wouldn't have gone this far had he lived to play the part, and neither should have Gambon.

He would have known to reign it in had he read the source material, which he apparently doesn't do for any adaptations, and it's much to the detriment of the finished product.
