9. McLaggen - The Half-Blood Prince
Just when you thought Harry Potter wouldn't stoop to the cocky, entitled jock stereotype, enter Cormac McLaggen, one of the most out-of-place characters in the series.
The relationship between Ron and Hermione was starting to develop but for The Half-Blood Prince there were a couple of roadblocks added, in the form of Lavender Brown and Cormac McLaggen. Ron's foil in his romance with Hermione, it's Cormac's goal to ruin his prospects wherever they be in terms of his love life or on the Quidditch pitch.
He's most prominently featured in the Slug Club scenes, most notably bragging to Slughorn about his family and privileges like the tool that he is. In the same scene, he attempts be sexy to Hermione by seductively sucking his own fingers....
I'm glad he gets some comeuppance accidentally eating dragon balls after calling Hermione a "tease", then is never seen again.
