10. Magical Mosh Pit - The Goblet Of Fire

More from movie four! This time it's at the Yule Ball and something so out of place it'll make your toes curl.

Hogwarts is a medieval castle, and it's technology doesn't evolve much further than the 1920s-30s, what with the old radios, no TVs, art-deco architecture in the Ministry of Magic, it's all fairly consistent in the wizarding world until they're outside in the real world at which point it's modern day.

This emersion breaks during the Yule Ball when, after the students get on the dance floor for a night of "well-mannered frivolity", all those manners go out of the window at the reveal of a full-on rock band pulled right out of nowhere called The Weird Sisters. Not only this, but a mosh pit then ensues with Professor Flitwick crowd surfing. How is this fitting to any part of the universe?!

The book's band has instruments something along the lines of a classic/baroque group with bagpipes. Here it's a heavy rock band fronted by Britpop band frontman, Jarvis Cocker.
