12. FeardotCom

FeardotCom is essentially The Ring with the Internet, except without absolutely anything that made The Ring good. A bunch of people start dying out of the blue, and a detective named Mike discovers it's because they visited a haunted website. Of course, this detective has been chasing a serial killer for years, and it just so happens that the ghost of one of that killer's victims is behind the site. What a coincidence! You later find out that this victim was a hemophiliac whose mother allowed her to play in an abandoned steel mill before she was murdered, by the way. Makes perfect sense, right? The two lead detectives have a super uninteresting romance, and they fall in love after working together for only a few days. Mike is every cliche cop character wrapped up into one, going after this killer without any backup and not really solving anything in the end, just kind of watching stuff happen. The sequences showing what victims see before they die are laughable, and it all just adds up to a boring, incoherent mess. Maybe the dumbest thing about it, though, is the fact that the website address isn't Fear.com. It's Feardotcom.com. Whose idea was that?
