15 Worst Months To Go To The Movies Since The Year 2000

4. April 2001

Number Of Movies Released: 12 Rotten Tomatoes Average: 36% Number of Movies Receiving Lower Than 40%: 9 To its credit, while April 2001 features many bad movies there are quite a few of them that are pretty memorable. First of all, there's Tom Green's Freddy Got Fingered which is a movie that's so unforgivably awful, it'll forever burn in people's brains. You also have Joe Dirt, starring David Spade, which actually has its fair share of defenders. But the biggest offender would have to be Town & Country, which is the last movie Warren Beatty has starred in. This "romantic comedy" cost $90 million to make and grossed only $10 million, which makes it one of the biggest flops of all-time. It also received the worst reviews of Warren Beatty's career, even worse than 1987's Isthar (which was another box office bomb). It's a wonder how Warren Beatty's legacy has been able to thrive despite ending his career on such a dubious note. Another movie whose existence seems completely inexplicable in retrospect: Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles. The movie was made 13 years after Crocodile Dundee II, long after Crocodile Dundee stopped being relevant. Perhaps Hollywood thought people wanted to see a third movie thanks to Paul Hogan constantly appearing in Subaru commercials around that time, but that did not turn out to be the case.
