Number Of Movies Released: 10 Rotten Tomatoes average: 39% Number Of Movies Receiving Lower Than 40%: 6 Every year, January is considered a throwaway month, which explains why it's represented three times on this list. Still, the sheer number of terrible movies that came out in January 2010 is hard to ignore. Movies so bad, it's hard to believe they ever existed in the first place. This includes two awful romantic comedies (Leap Year, When In Rome) and two family comedies featuring action stars who apparently have very little self-respect: The Spy Next Door with Jackie Chan and Tooth Fairy with The Rock. We also had some strange post-apocalyptic movies such as The Book of Eli and Legion, neither of which garnered much praise and both have mostly been forgotten about ever since. Believe it or not, one of the more well-received movies that January was a thriller starring Mel Gibson (Edge Of Darkness). Remember when he tried making a comeback? That turned out to be pretty short-lived...
