15 Worst Movie Moments Of 2016
3. The Assassination Scene - London Has Fallen
London Has Fallen is a return to the meat and potato action movies of the eighties and nineties, where a tough dude punches and shoots his way through evil terrorists. They’re the definition of guilty pleasure movies, but London suffered badly from some of the worst CGI of 2016.
The plot has world leaders coming to London for the funeral of the prime minister, only for a terrorist group to knock them off one at a time. There’s a big montage where numerous leaders are assassinated, mostly by dodgy computer generated explosions that make it look like something out of a parody or an amateur video editor messing around with After Effects.
The wobbly effects really rob this scene of the impact it should have, and even those who like the film singled out this scene for criticism.
