15 Worst Movie Moments Of 2016
10. Brooks' Betrayal - Inferno
For the single fan out there who waited years for it to arrive, maybe Inferno was a real thrill ride. For nearly everyone else it was a damned chore, with a story that’s near impossible to follow and chase scenes that lack any kind of dramatic tension.
The worst part is when Hanks’ professor realises the doctor who’s been helping him from the beginning is actually the villain, who was using him to find a lethal virus. This betrayal doesn’t hurt because her character wasn’t intriguing enough for viewers to care in the first place, and it doesn’t make sense from a story point of view either.
It was a shocking twist for the sake of it, and a poor one at that.
