15 Worst Movie Performances Of 2019

13. Marlon Wayans - Sextuplets

When an actor plays multiple characters in a movie it can go one of two ways. It can either work fantastically well like James McAvoy in Split and Glass, or it can fall completely flat like Adam Sandler in Jack and Jill. Marlon Wayans in Sextuplets certainly falls into the latter of these two categories.

The White Chicks actor portrays soon to be father, Alan, on his journey to find his five siblings, all of which are also played by Wayans. After the main character himself, the rest of the titular brothers and sisters all seem to embody a different stereotype or cliche that Wayans genuinely believes to be funny. This just isn't the case however, as it all feels dated and falls incredibly flat.

Portraying seven different characters, and taking up the bulk of the screen time, the movie was always going to live or die based on Wayans' performance. 14% on the Tomatometer is enough to confirm how this went for the actor who tried to emulate Eddie Murphy in the Nutty Professor, but forgot the humour, charm, or likability.
