15 Worst Performances In Star Wars Movies

13. Liam Neeson - Qui-Gon Jinn

Solo Emilia Clarke
Lucasfilm

The Star Wars franchise, especially when it comes to the Prequels, has a bad habit of completely wasting great actors and Liam Neeson's role in The Phantom Menace was a good example of this. In fact, this might be the worst performance of Neeson's career.

Qui-Gon Jinn isn't a particularly interesting character to begin with and he's essentially just there to be Obi-Wan's master and then die in the finale, so Neeson was hardly blessed with great writing but even so, one can't help but wish he'd tried a little harder.

Neeson seems half-asleep throughout the film and is understated in the worst sense of the word in that he almost whispers his way through all of his lines. He was originally to return in Episode III as a force-ghost but this scene was ultimately cut and, in all honesty, that's probably for the best.
