15 Worst Superhero Movie Moments Since 2000

1. Spider-Man 3: Emo Peter Parker

The highly disappointing (though occasionally entertaining) Spider-Man 3 did have the great premise of Peter Parker being infected with a dark force and turning more villainous, but the movie appallingly misused this concept.

Rather than having Peter Parker actually do anything particularly wrong (aside from snapping at people and being vengeful towards Sandman), the main thing Peter does is... dance like an emo through the streets, hit on women and act like a drunken show-off.

Not only does this completely fail to show Peter Parker's darker side in a powerful or meaningful way, but it's so cringe-worthy it's almost unwatchable. To this day, it is inconceivable that anyone anywhere thought this was a good idea; you'd expect to see such dreadful comedy in a Friedberg and Seltzer spoof but not in an expensive superhero blockbuster.

Even when we've seen plenty of worse superhero movies this century this ghastly scene is still the worst thing the superhero genre has given us since 2000 and frankly, it was worse than anything from Batman and Robin. It really is that atrocious.
