5. The Guitar Flamethrower Dude
When the first Fury Road trailer dropped, eagle-eyed fans noticed that there appeared to be a very curious character hanging out in Joe's convoy: a guy on a giant vehicle made of guitar amps, playing a guitar which doubled as a flamethrower. What fans might not have expected, though, is that the guitar flamethrower dude is easily one of the most entertaining characters in the whole movie, despite his screen time totaling just a few minutes and zero context being given about his place in the story. His guitar playing can be heard frequently throughout the film as a rallying cry of sorts, and he truly gets his time to shine in the final set-piece, when he tussles with Max and uses the bungee cord he's attached to to flip around and cause chaos. He also gets his mask torn off, revealing a mutant face underneath. Gnarly.
