Once Joe is taken care of and Max gives Furiosa some of his blood in order to save her life, they arrive back at the Citadel, where Joe's body is dumped in front of the folks living there, who are ecstatic at the tyrant water-hoarder's death. It's not long before, in a few brief shots, it appears that the locals have started ripping Joe's body to pieces in sheer, savage joy. Again, Miller steers away from overt gore, but it's there for a couple of seconds, and it's just the right combination of brutal, hilarious and truly messed up. A fitting end for one of the franchise's most screwed up, imposing villains for sure.
