8. Michael Jai White - Spawn/ The Dark Knight (And Arrow)

Michael Jai White's CV reads like a treasure trove of genre movie and B movie oddities, from the likes of Android Cop to Black Dynamite via a Universal Soldier sequel and a made for TV Mike Tyson, and his association with comic book screen projects is long and storied. As well as playing a key character in Justice - Evan Oppenheimer's post-911 story centred on a comic book writer - he has also lent his voice to multiple animated superhero projects and recently appeared in Arrow as Bronze Tiger. And if those weren't enough, he also played the titular role in Spawn, and played the unlucky victim to Heath Ledger's Joker in the iconic Why So Serious? scene in The Dark Knight. He might not be the most famous figure in mainstream terms, but his importance simply cannot be under-estimated.
