Though it may not have reached the level of box office glory of the towering Marvel Cinematic Universe, the X-Men franchise is nevertheless an immensely popular adaptation of the classic Marvel comic book series. Furthermore, without Bryan Singer's original 2000 movie, who knows when studios would have begun to put their faith in comic book characters that weren't called Batman or Superman?
