17 Superhero Movies That Were Nominated For Oscars

4. Suicide Squad

Won: Best Achievement In Makeup And Hairstyling

Well, what else could a movie like Suicide Squad possibly win?

How about Most Overrated Movie Of The Year, Best Supporting Actress Of The Year (Margot Robbie) and Best T&A Of The Year (ditto), all of which it collected at the Golden Schmoes Awards?

It didn't win Worst Movie, though - that went to Zoolander 2. It also failed to pick up Biggest Disappointment Of The Year, which went to - drum roll, please - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Speaking of justice, Batman V Superman received eight Razzie nominations from which it won four, including Worst Prequel Remake Rip-Off Or Sequel. Suicide Squad was nominated for Worst Screenplay and Worst Supporting Actor (Jared Leto) but went home empty handed, probably to polish its Oscar.
