The Question: The end of Thor: The Dark World seemed to imply that Loki (Tom Hiddleston) had possibly killed Odin (Anthony Hopkins) in order to usurp his throne on Asgard, but with Hopkins seen shooting scenes for Ragnarok, what the Hell is going on with the Allfather?
The Likely Answer: Set photos have shown Odin wandering around Earth in a rather bedraggled appearance, so it's quite probable that Loki somewhat ironically banished him to Earth, or alternatively Odin has decided to go incognito on Earth in order to reach someone...or something.
He's almost certainly not dead, anyway, though there's no guarantee he'll survive to the end of the film. Considering Hopkins' age and Ragnarok bringing the Thor series to an end, his death in fact seems pretty likely in the third act.
