18 Fast And Furious Easter Eggs You Never Noticed

3. Sequels Come Out The Same Year As X-Men Films

You know how it is. You wait ages for one huge Hollywood blockbuster to hit cinemas, and then two come along at once. If you want to know when the next Fast And Furious film is due to come out, you can always just see when the next instalment of Fox's X-Men franchise is also set to be premièring (and vice versa), since they have a habit of coming out in the same years. Pretty much every time, in fact. Just go through this list: X2 and 2 Fast 2 Furious were both released in 2003; X-Men: The Last Stand and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift were both released in 2006; X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Fast and Furious were both released in 2009; X-Men: First Class and Fast Five were both released in 2011; and The Wolverine and Fast and Furious 6 were released in 2013. The trend would've continued with X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Furious 7, if the latter had been released last year. As it happens, the untimely death of Paul Walker meant that production was delayed until the studio could consult with the actor's family on how they would continue. Which was a classy move. And you can expect Furious 8 to be a time-travelling romp that reboots continuity and brings a load of old characters back to life...probably.
