18 Greatest Moments In Every MCU Movie (So Far) - Ranked
14. Ant-Man Versus Yellowjacket - Ant-Man
The Film
One of the most surprising successes in the MCU so far is definitely Ant-Man, which could have been a mess if the production issues around Edgar Wright's involvement had had the usual destructive impact these things tend to have.
But Peyton Reed brought in a steadying hand, tied it closer to the MCU than Wright had wanted and made it genuinely funny and very, very charming. And a lot of the praise also has to go to Paul Rudd, on whose shoulders the heart, humour and charm all rested heavily.
The Moment
There are a number of very enjoyable moments in Ant-Man from his training sequences to the central heist itself (and basically any scene that Michael Pena is involved in), but the very best comes with the marriage of special effects, humour and action at the climax.
Watching Yellowjacket and Ant-Man face off is initially like any other blockbuster fight sequence, but then Reed pulls out his masterstroke, using Cassie Lang's bedroom and toys as the opportunity to really show-off. And the involvement of her Thomas The Tank set is just the absolute icing on the cake of one of the most inventive battles in the MCU.
