Just your regular reminder here that Suicide Squad - the worst comic book movie of the past decade - has an Oscar nomination. Sure, it's for hair and make-up, but if that doesn't slightly devalue the whole Oscars ceremony for you, you've got an iron will.
And truthfully, it did actually do Batman v Superman a service by being such a mess. It didn't make it look like Citizen Kane, obviously, but exaggeration is a terrible, but necessary evil at times.
