18 Insanely Messed Up Movies You Might Not Be Able To Handle

14. Suspiria (2018)

The original Suspiria is well-known for its gore, but where violence is concerned it's got nothing on its 2018 remake.

This is one of the greatest horror remakes of all time, not to mention 2018's finest horror film, but it's also depraved and messed-up as hell. It's a movie which very much pushes boundaries (for example, at the start instead of the film's title the title card reads 'Six Acts and an Epilogue Set in a Divided Berlin') and it goes to levels of WTF-ness not seen in any other 2018 film.

There's an almost unwatchable scene in which a woman is dragged around, twisted, broken and mangled by an unseen force in an extremely gruesome and painful manner, while the finale is full of non-stop gore as multiple characters burst open with insanely bloody results. This kind of violence, whether its the lengthy, graphic on-screen moments or the brief but disturbing images lurking in the film's various dream sequences, continues through the entire two and a half hours of the film.

While a great horror flick, this is also the very definition of 'Not for everyone' - especially the squeamish.
