17. Kevin Deserves It?

Now it€™s a little far-fetched to say that any 8-year-old deserves to be left on their own for a week, but still€ In the opening moments of Home Alone, we see that Kevin taunts his mother whilst she€™s on the phone (€œHang up the phone and make me, why don€™t you?€ when asked to behave), shows no lack of remorse at using his old man€™s glue gun in the garage (€œDid I burn down the joint? I don€™t think so.€), not to mention making ornaments out of his dad€™s new fish hooks. Then he has a bit of a hissy fit about having to pack his own suitcase. Yeah, maybe leaving him on his own is a little too harsh an example of tough love, but some could say that Kevin deserved some sort of comeuppance for his attitude.
