Film: Beauty And The Beast The wolves in Beauty And The Beast are almost as bad as Gaston. Almost. They first attack Maurice in the woods when he has lost his way and they chase him right up to the castle gates. Those wolves practically force him into the Beast's castle, which was almost a death sentence in itself. They then reappear with Belle when she escapes the castle after the confrontation with Beast in the West Wing. They chase her through ice, attack Phillipe the inappropriately named horse and she only has a stick to defend herself when she's confronted by ten wolves, all growling and looking at her like a piece of meat. When you're in Belle's position, that stick doesn't look so dangerous anymore. Then they attack. She is thrown to the ground as one of the wolves grabs her by her cloak and that's it, she's a goner. The smart, pretty Disney Princess is about to get eaten by a pack of wolves in the middle of the woods. Thank goodness Beast shows up to save the day, even if he is still grumpy from their previous dispute.
