20 Absolutely Insufferable Film Characters Who Didn't Deserve THAT

It's a given with slasher movies that there are some irritating characters you want to see bite the dust, but the Terrifier films are a different kettle of fish. They don't just kill off characters quickly; they subject them to uber-cruel and sadistic deaths that leave many viewers struggling to get through the whole film. In other words, if you wish for a character's death in a Terrifier flick, you might feel bad later on. 

Rather refreshingly, these movies are reasonably short of truly hateable characters, though Cole and Mia from Terrifier 3 were tiresome, to say the least. He was an obnoxious college roommate, she was an insensitive true crime podcaster, and as such, it's likely that many viewers were hoping for their deaths more than with any other character. But again, they probably regretted it once said deaths arrived, for it was grisly even by Terrifier's bleak standards.

Wielding a chainsaw, Art the Clown jumped out at the pair while they were making love in the shower, and absolutely savaged them both. He scalps Mia and then literally sodomizes Cole with the chainsaw before slicing him vertically in half. Utterly sick. 

It kind of felt like writer-director Damian Leone was playing with the audience a bit here. He gave the people what they thought they wanted, but it turned out they didn't want it after all. Well, such is life.
