Almost was: Star Lord Aaron Paul joked as Breaking Bad came to end that his career was over. While it's unlikely he'll ever be in something so consistently brilliant, some smart career choices could help him be more than the-bloke-who-was-Jesse. So it's a shame that his first post-Bad role was the lead in the adaptation of video game Need For Speed. It could have all gone so differently if early casting rumours for Guardians Of The Galaxy had proven true. From the project's announcement an out-there, but well documented piece of casting speculation was that Paul would end up taking the star role. We think he'd have been brilliant; Breaking Bad alone showed how he could juggle humour and drama. Although had Paul got the role his introduction would have felt a little lacking unless he'd said "I'm Star Lord, bitch".
