19. Kevin Nash Was Almost Sabretooth

Before Singer cast sometime wrestler Tyler Mane, better known as Nitro and Big Sky in WCW, he had his eyes firmly on another WCW star - a far bigger legend in wrestling circles who has gone on to have something of a film career of his own - and one who was actually Mane's partner in 1993: Kevin Nash.

Nash and Mane were partners in WCW as Vinnie Vegas and Big Sky, and Mane made up somewhat for his being left behind when Kevin Nash went to WWF to become Diesel by taking the role of Sabretooth away from the wrestler it had been intended for initially. Ironically Nash's success was what stopped him from taking the role, which was offered to him, and he later had to settle for a supporting role in The Punisher, which lead to him being genuinely stabbed on set by co-star Thomas Jane with a real knife.

Which, as second prizes go, was a little bit like a kick in the testicles.
