13. Nick Stahl Was Almost Angel

Before Ben Foster was cast, and presumably before original choice Mike Vogel chose to sink to the bottom of the sea rather than take the role, Terminator 3 star Nick Stahl almost followed up his role opposite the ultra-bottoxed cyborg and in the horribly under-valed Carnivale TV show with a soaring performance as Angel.

Like Vogel, he was presumably sought for his youthful image - though his looks aren't exactly on the same near-celestial level as Vogel, who had been a Levi's model before acting - but clearly it was decided that Stahl wasn't the right fit for the character as his involvement never got past the audition process, despite rumours surfacing around the time that his official attachment to the role after Vogel dropped out was going to be announced after the first teaser for Fantastic Four.
