18. Uma Thurman - Julie James (I Know What You Did Last Summer)

I Know What You Did Last Summer was a poorly reviewed, yet highly commercially successful, slasher film which follows four teens who inadvertently run over a man and kill him. Naturally, they dump him in the sea, but the next year he comes back for revenge. It had calibre too - the script was by the man who wrote Wes Craven€™s ironic and self referencing slasher movie Scream, Kevin Williamson. The lead role of Julie was played by one of the best actresses that the teen demographic had at the time - Jennifer Love Hewitt. She didn't do a terrible job per se, but she's no Jamie Lee Curtis. However, one of the filmmaker's first picks to play the character was Uma Thurman, who then wasn't far removed from playing the lovable cokehead Mia Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. Uma, of course, turned the role down, probably because the film was a bit silly. However, that same year she would go on to play Poison Ivy in Joel Schumacher's horrendous Batman & Robin, so perhaps not.
