19. Sofia Coppola - The Phantom Menace

John Wayne Imperial Spy
Lucasfilm

Sofia Coppola may be better known as a filmmaker these days, but back in 1997 she was still primarily the daughter of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, infamous for giving a Razzie-nominated performance as Mary Corleone in The Godfather Part III.

But her father being a good friend of George Lucas, and Lucas consequently being "like an uncle" to her, allowed her to be part of The Phantom Menace.

Coppola was originally only planning to tag along and watch Lucas shoot the film, but he ended up offering her the cameo role of Saché, one of Queen Amidala's (Natalie Portman) handmaidens.

Given that her face is largely concealed under ceremonial garments she's tough to spot, which seems to be very much what Coppola intended, noting that it "seemed like a good vantage point to watch without getting in the way."
