12. Sections Of The Music Were Performed Backwards & Digitally Reversed For The Creepy Effect - Prometheus
One of the more curiously peculiar stylistic affectations in Prometheus is composer Marc Streitenfeld's decision to have the orchestra play his compositions backwards, after which he digitally reversed the final recordings in order evoke an unnatural, otherworldly sound. The score is certainly one of the better, more inscrutable aspects of the movie, so it's safe to say that Streitenfeld's approach definitely worked.
