16. Ridley Scott's Rubber-Gloved Hands Play The Facehugger - Alien
When Kane (John Hurt) is examining the derelict and comes across thousands of eggs containing facehuggers, he takes a look at one of the eggs, which of course, eventually results in him being impregnated by said facehugger. Ridley Scott gives viewers a pretty prolonged glimpse at the egg, which provides a translucent view of the facehugger inside, which is pulsating and gently moving around, seemingly stirring to life as it senses Kane. Take a look closely, though, and you can see that the effect was in fact produced by Scott placing rubber gloves on his hands and motioning them around. The view is distorted enough that it's not immediately obvious and still looks incredibly eerie, but once you know it's there, it's pretty hard to un-see it.
