20 Amazing Facts About All About Eve
19. George Sanders Provided The Voice For Shere Khan In The Jungle Book (1967)
If the distinctive voice of famed-thespian George Sanders sounds familiar, it is because he provided the voice of Shere Khan in Disney’s 1967 “The Jungle Book”.
Ken Anderson animated the feline character to resemble the features of Sanders. Furthermore, there are a few similarities in characteristics between Shere Khan and his earlier film role “Addison Dewitt” – both smart, sophisticated, cunning, egotistical and quite manipulative.
And because of his Oscar win received from All About Eve, it made Sanders the first ever Academy award winning actor to have a voice-over role in a Disney movie.
