3. It's Not Supernatural, It's Phroggers - I See You
I See You is a brilliantly effective little horror-thriller centered around the Harper family and the increasingly odd, unexplained happenings in their home, such as items going missing and strange people being spotted inside, seeming to suggest some supernatural goings-on. But halfway through, it's revealed that there's nothing otherworldly going on at all, and every strange incident the Harper family has encountered was caused by a pair of young people, Alec (Owen Teague) and Mindy (Libe Barer), who have been secretly hiding inside the house - a trend called "phrogging."
It was Alec's idea to start terrorising the Harpers, and while we initially assume this is simply his sick way of entertaining himself, we eventually learn that this was all part of a revenge plan against the father of the family, Greg (Jon Tenney), who is actually a secret serial killer and previously abducted Alex as a child.
That's... a lot, and while the potential for a convoluted mess speaks for itself, it's all quite elegantly wrought by filmmaker Adam Randall.
