20 Amazing Movie Plot Twists That Never Get Talked About

Red Lights is a criminally underrated supernatural thriller starring Cillian Murphy and Sigourney Weaver as Tom and Margaret, a pair of professional skeptics who attempt to discredit famed psychic Simon Silver (Robert De Niro).

But at the very end of the movie, we realise that nothing is quite as it seems.

Yes, Silver is indeed a faker, but Tom himself is revealed to possess telekinetic abilities. Moreover, he has been working as a debunker in the hopes of finding someone else with abilities like him, or at least another explanation for his powers.

Now, in fairness, this is absolutely an incredibly divisive twist that's soured as many people on the movie as it's enamoured, but it is a genuinely surprising reveal, and one brought home with an emotional final monologue from the ever-brilliant Murphy.

One can only hope that Red Lights eventually gets the critical and audience re-evaluation it so thoroughly deserves.
