2. Back To The Future Part II
Universal PicturesNext year is the year that Marty McFly and Doc Emmet Brown went back to the future in the second installment of the trilogy. It's safe to say that, while some of today's fashion might look a little ridiculous, on the whole we're not walking the streets dressed up like Biff Tanner and his gang (although the diminutive amongst us might well appreciate the extendable footwear). The plot to Back to the Future Part II might have been a bit incomprehensible at times, but the spectacular special effects and frantic pacing ensured that our little eyes were transfixed to the screen from start to finish. You can't mention the film without mentioning the hoverboards, and recently spoof websites have been set up purporting to sell them. One prediction it can be said to have got right is the revival of 3D cinema and the endless stream of sequels. That said, Hollywood has yet to bring the Jaws franchise back to the screens - if the earlier sequels are anything to go by, that can only be a good thing.
