20 Awesome Horror Villains Introduced In TERRIBLE Movies
2. Art the Clown - All Hallows' Eve
There's no denying that Terrifier's Art the Clown is one of the few genuinely iconic horror villains of the 21st century, but he actually made his first feature film appearance a few years before 2016's original Terrifier.
Art's big-screen debut came in the 2013 anthology film All Hallows' Eve, which was directed by Art's creator Damien Leone.
Two of the anthology's segments actually incorporated footage from Art-centric shorts Leone had produced previously, The 9th Circle in 2008 and Terrifier in 2011.
To call All Hallows' Eve rough is quite the understatement - even accepting its obviously tiny budget, the shorts vary wildly in quality, and save for both the excellent design work on Art and some decent gore, it's mostly a dull, unappealing affair.
As a dry run for what Art would become - played here by Mike Giannelli before David Howard Thornton took over for the Terrifier features - it's an intriguing artefact, though nobody would blame you for skipping past the frankly awful segments without Art.
