20 Awesome Horror Villains Introduced In TERRIBLE Movies

3. Calux - Truth or Dare

The actual idea of making a horror film based on the party game Truth or Dare is pretty fun, and in the 2018 namesake it involves a demonic entity named Calux who runs a cursed, often fatal game of Truth or Dare, forcing people to participate against their will.

There was absolutely a way to make this movie work, because the seeds of the concept are solid fodder for a campy, knowingly silly horror-comedy, but of course, it commits the sin of taking itself about 300% too seriously.

Moreover, the PG-13 rating means that the loony, Final Destination-esque death scenes are infuriatingly tame, ensuring the film can't even coast on the insanity of its over-the-top kills.

Calux, you were done dirty by a terrible script and lackluster direction, but you definitely had promise.

Hell, a teased sequel even has the Truth or Dare game going viral around the world, yet despite this film grossing almost $100 million worldwide, it puzzlingly never came to pass.
