20 Awesome Moments When Comic Book Movie Villains Totally Owned

6. Ra's Al Ghul Accepts Death - Batman Begins

Although this isn't a moment of total ownage in the "traditional sense," there's something brilliant to be had at the point at which Bruce Wayne's long thought dead mentor, Ra's al Ghul, comes face to face with his own mortality, that renders it particularly awesome in its own way. After trying to spread fear throughout Gotham and thus planning for the city to destroy itself, Ra's ends up battling against his ex-star pupil, Batman, on a train carriage destined for doom. With the track end in sight, Bruce refuses to kill his former master.... but he won't save him. As Bruce Wayne blows out the back of the carriage and disappears into the night, Ra's turns, and - seemingly accepting his death - closes his eyes as he's blown into oblivion. It's ownage in a different sense, of course - even in the seconds before he's blown to smithereens, Ra's manages to remain calm, stoic and very badass. Nice.
