20 Awesome Moments When Comic Book Movie Villains Totally Owned
8. Bane Hijacks The Plane - The Dark Knight Rises
Bane is a terrifying individual even if you're just talking about him... as for the CIA agents who discover that they've accidently got him on their plane? Well, gulp! The opening scene to The Dark Knight Rises shows Bane being boarded onto an aircraft, only to turn the situation around on the very agents who brought him on totally handcuffed. When the lead CIA agent realises who they've got in their midst, it's too late - and as the plane is turned on its side and everyone is knocked out, Bane uses the seats to his advantage, leaping between them. Owned!
7. Magneto Gets His Powers Back - X-Men: The Last Stand
A subtler moment of pure ownage - and the first of two Magneto moments to make our list - occurs at the end of X-Men: The Last Stand, where our villain - thought to have lost his powers - plays chess in the park. As we linger on the face of this sad old man, his hand hovers over one of the metallic pieces, until... it moves. Very slightly, very subtly, but it moves. And thus, thought to have been stripped of his powers, Magneto proves that you can't keep a freakin' awesome villain like himself down. He may have owned quietly here, but owned is definitely what he did.
