20 Best Female Characters In Comic Book Movies - Ranked

4. Hit Girl

Comic Book Females
Universal Pictures

The Mark Millar adaptation Kick Ass was doing perfectly well on its own even before its scene-stealing breakout star showed up. And then, in a flurry of blood, violence and swearing, Chloe Grace Moretz's propelled the film into the stratosphere. A pint-sized psychopath in a pink wig, Hit Wig quickly and understandably became a superhero icon. Together with her father/mentor Big Daddy (Nic Cage by way of Adam West), Hit Girl ensured her place in the superheroine hall of fame with style and attitude.

Hit Girl would return (and continue to be the best thing) in Kick Ass 2, unsuccessfully trying out retirement, training up Kick Ass into a slightly more elevated version of incompetence, and, hilariously, taking down a gang of school bullies in typical Hit Girl fashion. At least they survived, though.
