20 Best James Bond Gadgets

13. Oddjob's Bowler Hat (Goldfinger)

Not all of the headwear in Goldfinger was as daft as a stuffed duck. In fact, Goldinger's henchman Oddjob was not to be seen without his bowler hat, famous for its razor sharp style and razor sharp steel rim. Oddjob's hat remains one of the most iconic items in the entire franchise. It just about sums up everything that a Bond gadget needs to be: unexpected, dangerous in the right hands, and just a little bit odd. Who'd have thought a silent man with a hat would be even more intimidating than the same man with any kind of firearm? Unfortunately for Oddjob, his primary weapon would ultimately be the cause of his own demise. He meets his grisly end in Fort Knox when a massive electrical charge is sent through the rim of the hat. Huge props to actor Harold Sakata who continued holding onto the hat despite genuine severe pain. That's dedication to the scene.
